Yad bhadran tan na āsuva

O God the Creator! Remove all our vices; that which is good, to us, do grant

This was Swami Dayanand’s favourite mantra. Manuscripts in his handwriting show that he would always start a new page by first writing this mantra.

It has a universal appeal and is a simple prayer asking that whatever is not good for us be removed and that we be endowed with everything noble and wholesome.
